“I am worthy of all of this joy and all of these blessings and all of this abundance and all of this grace.”
I have experienced so much of the unexpected in the last year of my life. And it’s had me thinking recently about how blessed the unexpected can turn out to be. But I don’t know that I’ve always seen it that way.
A poem from Morgan Harper Nichols caught my eye on Pinterest a few weeks back, and I revisited it recently with a new perspective. I’m learning to see the unexpected as a mirror of my worth, as proof that no matter what my circumstances are, my worth is independently intact.
Sometimes, the unexpected can be a greater blessing than anything I would have expected to come to me. And that is proof that my worth is not based on results of my own making.
